Giving our Park kids the proper academic support is important to their overall success and confidence in the classroom. While we we've modeled our education programs after some of the top performing education systems in the world, utilizing a foundation and play for academic mastery and mixed-level groups for literacy and STEM.
For our Latine scholars, there is significant emphasis on building proficiency in reading, math, and science. Currently, only about 30% of Latine youth are proficient in reading and math. The Park Place is changing that through innovative educational programs, bringing excitement into learning basic foundational concepts.
Literacy
Youth from Kindergarten through 5th grade receive literacy support through reading exposure, phonics teaching, and individualized support.
stem club
Every week our scholars enjoy hands-on STEM learning, complete with robotics, coding, 3D printing, and more. Making STEM come to life - literally!
homework
help
For scholars that need extra support with homework, we have volunteers available during Education program to support with homework help.
Art +
Movement
It is pivotal that youth express themselves. The benefits to art and movement are endless, and we recognize that play and creation is a pivotal part of learning and growth. Every week, youth complete art projects that correlate to themes of the week and get opportunities to play in the gym!
